Pet Boarding in Gainesville, GA
Why rely on a friend or untrained pet sitter to take care of your pets while you go on vacation or travel for business? Gainesville Veterinary Hospital can provide you and your pet with an affordable, safe, and comfortable place for your cat or dog while you are away. Built-in 2004, our boarding facility is a service that we provide for the convenience of our clients.
For both our dog and cat guests we carry a large number of comfortable blankets and towels, so there is no need to be concerned about bedding. However, if your pet has a favorite blanket or toy, please feel free to bring those along. We also recommend you bring your pet’s regular diet from home to minimize the stress of being in a new situation.
We will provide food if you prefer, which is Science Diet and age-appropriate. Tours are gladly given to all our current and prospective clients. If you would like to schedule a tour please call 770-532-0491. We suggest reservations for holidays be made as early as possible as we do fill up quickly.

Pet Boarding Routines
Our compassionate boarding staff takes great pride in ensuring that your pet has a comfortable stay at Gainesville Veterinary Hospital. Our staff is dedicated to providing caring and personal attention to each of our pet guests and works diligently to keep the facility fresh and clean at all times. Our indoor kennels are cleaned twice daily.
Dogs are let out twice a day for at least half an hour in our large fenced-in backyard. This could be longer depending on the weather and the number of other boarding guests. All dogs are allowed exercise and playtime in our yard multiple times per day.
For our clients’ pets, we offer a bath package at check-out. These services are performed the morning of check out and each pet will then be ready after 2:00 PM that day.
We ask that clients make reservations in order to reserve a spot in our boarding facility. We also require our guests to be up to date on their vaccinations and parasite screenings.
In order to ensure the protection of your pet and others the following vaccinations are required. For our feline guests, we require FVRCP and rabies. Our canine guests, need to have rabies, bordetella, and DHPPC. Vaccinations can be given here at Gainesville Veterinary Hospital or we can accept vaccination records from your veterinarian.
